Who should skip

Skip it as a drop-in repair, adjustable neck-relief mechanism, or universal truss-rod replacement, and when channel geometry, remaining wood thickness, orientation, adhesive or composite-working controls have not been designed.

This is passive carbon-fiber reinforcement, not an adjustable truss rod. Routing or lamination is irreversible. Do not infer a universal channel, orientation, adhesive or rod count from the stock dimensions. Control carbon-composite dust and use appropriate PPE/extraction if the rod is cut, routed or sanded.
