Best for

DIY stomp-box, controller and compact electronics projects that benefit from a distinctive narrow-trapezoid housing and whose full component layout fits the published internal geometry.

Who should skip

Skip it if you need a finished or pre-drilled pedal, included electronics, black or colored paint, a supplied gasket, IP65 protection, or dimensions different from the exact 1590TRPB drawing.

Watchouts

This listing is the natural-aluminum standard 1590TRPB, not black 1590TRPBBK or gasketed 1590WTRPB variants. It is an empty enclosure, not a working pedal, and includes no circuit, controls, jacks or power components. Hammond says the standard enclosure is designed to meet IP54; drilling, machining or assembly choices can reduce ingress protection.

Likely add-ons

  • project-specific circuit board, controls, jacks, wiring and power hardware
  • layout template and suitable drilling/machining tools
  • project-specific mounting hardware and insulation

Verify before buying

  • Does the complete board-and-hardware layout fit the 112 × 79 × 35 mm trapezoid and its 62 mm narrow end?
  • Do all controls, jacks, wiring and power components fit after allowing for wall thickness and lid closure?
  • Is natural unfinished aluminum required rather than black, painted or gasketed variants?
  • Is IP54-before-modification sufficient for the project, given machining may reduce protection?
